Going to Work - New York Style

The ferry as it approaches Port Imperial at Weerhawken

As the ferry moves out into the Hudson, there is a close-up view of the Aircraft Carrier Intrepid. The Intrepid saw action in World War 2, Korea and Vietnam. It was the Carrier used to pick up returning spacecraft. As you may be able to see it is now a floating museum with aircraft parked on the flight deck.
Alongside it is a Concord Airliner waiting to be lifted on to the flight deck.

Looking back up the river, the George Washington Bridge is in view.
The busiest bridge in the world - two levels with many lanes on each level,

Going on down the river, the Empire State Building is in sight

Another view of Manhattan Skyline.

Moving on down, the ferry passes Battery Park where Chris lived when he first went to New York

When the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges come into view, then it is time for the pilot to turn left in to Pier 11

Almost there now, Wall Street is just up from the Pier
